Diesel Mechanic

Do you have good problem-solving skills and a talent for working with mechanical systems? The trucking industry is strong, which means the need for skilled technicians is also strong. CVTC offers a Diesel Technician two-year technical diploma program. This program will prepare you to inspect, analyze, and repair heavy-duty trucks and equipment. You will receive hands-on training in truck repair. The program will teach you how to diagnose and repair: Diesel engines Suspension and steering Brakes Electrical/electronic systems Drive train Heating Air conditioning systems Preventive maintenance inspection CVTC instructors are Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified Heavy Duty Truck Technicians with many years of trade and teaching experience. This program is offered

Before the first day of classes.
This is the first 30 credits of the Diesel Truck Technician 2-year technical diploma.
CVTC offers its students career service to aid in finding employment during and after an educational program.
CVTC offers tutoring to students through the Academic Services department.

The costs listed are an estimate based on current 2018-2019 tuition and fee rates and is intended for planning purposes only. If your program has an amount for books listed, the figure is an estimate of what you will pay for books throughout the duration of your program if you purchase your books through the CVTC bookstore. Additional material fees vary by program and may include toolboxes, laptops, shop/lab coats, safety glasses, parts room deposit, or shirts. These costs are estimates.
Refunds for all courses scheduled to meet a semester or longer: 100% before the first day the class meets. The day the class meets and not the time of day defines the first class meeting. 80% during the first 14 calendar days from the first instructional day of the term. 60% during the 15th through the 28th calendar days from the first instructional day of the term.
